PROVISION OF REFURBISHMENT SERVICES AND REPLACEMENT OF STOPLOGS FOR KELSEY G.S.

Manitoba Hydro is issuing this Request to seek the submission of competitive Proposals for the replacement of the wood seals (Douglas fir) on 11 Sluiceway Stoplogs with new; repair, sandblast, and repaint steel components including replaced spacer bars, clamping bars, bolts and screws. This will also include installing new rubber seals to the original design which will improve sealing capacity of the stoplogs.The scope of the Work is as follows: ITEM 1: Refurbishment and Delivery of eleven (11) sluiceway stoplogs for Kelsey Generating Station (a) Provide craning and transportation from Kelsey GS to the Contractors facility. (b) Complete the disassembly, sand blasting, inspection and submit inspection report for each stoplog, and a *Recommended Repair* Plan if over and above detailed refurbishment plan. (c) Modify, balance, perform non-destructive testing, surface preparation, apply protective coating, inspect and submit quality report of the work. (d) Replace wood timbers (Douglas fir) with new, including replacement of spacer bars, clamping bars, bolts and screws. Replace Rubber seals and repair or replace all broken springs. Complete final inspection on reassembled stoplog (e) Transportation and craning required to return from Contractor’s facility to Kelsey Generating Station. ITEM 2: Refurbishment and Delivery of one (1) follower beam for Kelsey Generating Station (a) Provide craning and transportation from Kelsey GS to the Contractors facility. (b) Complete the disassembly, sand blasting, inspection and submit inspection report for the Follower Beam, and a *Recommended Repair Plan* if over and above detailed refurbishment plan. (c) Modify, balance, perform non-destructive testing, surface preparation, apply protective coating, inspect and submit quality report of the work.
