Research Microgrid - Controller, Equipment and Integration

RRC Polytech is seeking proposals for the design, supply, configuration, integration, testing, commissioning, training, and ongoing support of equipment for a behind-the-meter applied microgrid research testbed at Notre Dame Campus. This procurement phase comprises four coordinated equipment packages: a) An industrial microgrid controller and operator HMI/SCADA platform, including historian, engineering tools, industrial network equipment, time-synchronization equipment, gateways and licenses; b) An AC distribution panel forming the common research bus, including remotely operable protective devices and networked power-quality metering; c) Two programmable electronic load units (load bank) for controlled inverter, PCS and microgrid load testing; and d) A battery energy storage system (BESS) with power conversion system, battery management system and associated certifications.
