Notice of Interest and Contractor Prequalification – VBSC

Pomerleau is currently conducting SDI prequalification of companies in preparation for upcoming bids to construct facilities for the Combat Support Armored Vehicles project at the Valcartier military base in the Quebec City area. SDI (Subcontractor Default Insurance) prequalification involves analyzing a subcontractor’s financial and operational health to determine its ability to fulfill a given contract. It is a tool designed to prevent losses resulting from subcontractor defaults. The project involves constructing a maintenance building for various types of military vehicles, including VBSC, MVL, ACR, and RELC vehicles. The new building, with an approximate floor area of 11,400 m², will be located in the eastern part of the administrative sector of the Valcartier base. This sector is bordered by the Normandie firing range to the north, a wooded area to the east, Chassé Street to the west, and Lauzier Street to the south. The building will be divided into several areas: The administrative support area; The vehicle support area; The first-line maintenance bays; Second-line maintenance bays. Outside, a parking area for civilian and military vehicles, a traffic lane, and a storage area for waste and hazardous materials (petroleum, oil, and lubricants) will be developed. The following work is also planned: Site grading and drainage; Extension of underground utilities (sewer, stormwater, water supply, electricity, telecommunications); Redevelopment of the VC-366 parking lot; Construction of new bypass roads.
