2026 Rockall Road Construction Program Phase II

The Work location is south of the existing Rockall Road west of PTH 100, to north of the PR 427 (Wilkes Avenue), in the Rural Municipality of Headingley. The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:  Planing of existing asphalt;  Excavation of existing road base materials to design sub-grade;  Removal of unsuitable material if required;  Scarification and compaction of sub-grade and placement of geotextile;  Installation of subdrains;  Installation of catch basin and catch basin leads;  Removal of existing culvert;  Installation of culvert under roadway;  Installation of RM of Headingley style ditch inlets;  Placement of imported fill;  Construct riprap;  Construct new ditch  Regrade existing ditches;  Removal of existing decommissioned rail track;  Removal, salvage and installation of chain link fence;  Placement and compaction of sub-base and base course materials;  Construct mountable curb for asphalt pavements, utilizing slip-form paving equipment as required;  Construct barrier curb and reverse gutter for asphalt pavements, utilizing slip-form paving equipment as required;  Placement of Type III asphalt pavement utilizing grade control equipment (average thickness of seventy-five (75) mm)  Placement of Type IA asphalt pavement utilizing grade control equipment (average thickness of fifty (50) mm);  Construct french drains;  Placement of topsoil and hydroseeding; and  Details of the Scope of Work required for the project are set out in the project Drawings and Specifications.
