MATHIAS COLOMB CREE NATION SCHOOL EXPANSION PROJECT - CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

The Mathias Colomb Cree Nation (MCCN) is seeking the services of a Construction Manager to work in cooperation with its project team on the completion of its school expansion project. Proposals shall be submitted to the P. M. Associates Ltd. before 2:00pm (Central) September 14th, 2026. Submit a digital copy only (PDF format) of your proposal response to phil@pmgroup.ca. A construction contract for the project was awarded in 2022 with work commencing in the spring of 2022. The scope of work included an expansion of the existing school including new gymnasium and cafeteria, and supporting spaces. Renovations to the existing school were also included in the scope work as were the construction of a duplex and triplex teacherage buildings. Construction was halted in May 2025 due to wildfires and resulting community evacuation. The construction contract that was in place at the time was suspended, the parties were unable to negotiate terms to complete the remaining scope of work, and the construction contract was terminated. The scope of work in the original construction contract is estimated to be between 80% to 90% complete. In addition to the original construction contract, Indigenous Services Canada has recently approved the replacement of the roof of the existing school which is being added to the project scope of work. The school roof replacement will be completed through a design-build process.
