Whiteshell Laboratories Site-Wide Environmental Risk Assessment

The Contractor shall perform a site-wide retrospective Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) for the WL site, updating the previous ERA and assessing progress on past recommendations. The assessment will evaluate potential human health and ecological risks resulting from site operations between 2020 and 2026 using effluent, emissions, environmental, groundwater monitoring, and other relevant data provided by CNL. The ERA shall consider current releases of radiological and non-radiological contaminants, physical stressors, and any historical practices or events that may still contribute to present-day risks. It shall also assess cumulative effects from planned or ongoing projects and operational changes. The work will be complete once CNL has accepted all required deliverables, including the ERA report, responses to any CNSC comments, and a revised ERA addressing those comments if required.
