KAMLOOPS AIRPORT - FEC REPLACEMENT The Kamloops Airport Authority Society (“KAAS” or the “Airport”) is planning a replacement of the existing Field Electrical Centre (FEC) with a new standalone FEC building, replacement of the Airfield Lighting Control System (ALCS), and associated work at the Kamloops Airport. Funding in part for the project has been made possible in part through Transport Canada’s Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP). Based on the submissions received under this Tender, the Airport intends to immediately proceed to a construction phase in 2027 of the proposed work. The Airport invites open tenders from qualified airfield electrical Contractor’s for the contract: KAMLOOPS AIRPORT - FEC REPLACEMENT in accordance with the Tender Documents, Specifications and Drawings. Tender package can be downloaded from MERX www.merx.com. Proponents will be responsible for registering with MERX to be able to download all the necessary documents related to this solicitation. Offers signed under seal, executed, and dated will be received through MERX. The work to be executed under this contract comprises the following contract items (list is indicative of major contract items only and any quantities are approximate): - Trenching for Cables/Conduit/Duct (350 m) - Directional Drilling (110 m) - Supply/Install new FEC and associated power distribution/equipment (1) - Supply/Install new standby power system (1) - Supply/Install or Salvage/Reinstall Constant Current Regulator (CCR) (2 and 4 each) - Supply/Install new ALCS PLC Control Panel, Workstation, I/O Cabinet (1) - Supply/Install new Fibre Cabling (885 m) - Miscellaneous Airfield Electrical Works A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Estimated Tender Price and a Consent of Surety or Agreement to Bond for the Performance Bond and Labour and Materials Payment Bond as described herein, and in the amounts specified, must accompany each Tender.
