Affordable Housing for Athletes
Canadian Sport Institute Ontario
CSIO is seeking a qualified proponent to assess and expand housing partnership opportunities for high-performance athletes across Canada. The successful proponent will leverage the existing CSIO referral partnership model to engage municipalities, housing developers, and key housing stakeholders in regions served by Canada’s Sport Institutes and Centres. The work will include establishing referral partnerships at all COPSIN locations, conducting research and stakeholder consultations (including with Canadian carded athletes) to assess the need for a dedicated athlete housing program, engaging national housing agencies and government initiatives to explore partnership opportunities, and undertaking targeted outreach to major residential developers in key Canadian markets, including Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, and Vancouver.
