The Ministry of Education is establishing the Early Intervention Services (EIS) Panel to contract with private providers and Non-Governmental Organisations delivering Speech‑Language Therapy and Educational Psychology services. These services will support children from birth through to the end of Year 1 of schooling. As New Zealand's largest provider of Early Intervention Services, the Ministry aims to expand options for whānau by partnering with external specialists to deliver targeted, high‑quality support. The Panel will improve service availability and reduce wait times by enabling flexible service delivery models.
