Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Capability Programme
National Procurement
Health NZ is seeking proposals from suitably qualified organisations, including consortia or partnerships between organisations, to design, deliver and maintain a national POCUS Capability Programme for clinicians working in eligible rural and remote urgent and after-hours care settings. The programme must support clinicians to safely achieve, demonstrate and maintain competency in POCUS practice within their professional scope. This procurement is not seeking a one-off training course. We are seeking providers capable of delivering an end-to-end capability programme that supports competency development through educations, supervised practice, image review, assessment, peer support, quality assurance and maintenance of competence. Note that a provider briefing has been scheduled for 11 August 2026. Details are included in the RFP in terms of registration for this briefing.
