Wellington Region Stop Smoking Service
Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora)
Hauora Māori Services, Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, invites proposals from a suitably qualified Hauora Māori provider, or lead provider with agreed partners, to deliver a face-to-face Stop Smoking Service across the wider Wellington region, including Capital & Coast, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa, from 1 January 2027 to 30 June 2028. The service will provide evidence-based behavioural support and support access to stop smoking medicines and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), with a focus on improving health outcomes and reducing health inequities. The service will prioritise Māori, Pacific peoples, pregnant women and other priority populations, and will work collaboratively with health and community providers to strengthen referral pathways, improve access and engagement, and support people and whānau to stop smoking. We are seeking respondents with demonstrated experience and capability in delivering high-quality, culturally responsive and whānau-centred stop smoking services, with strong local relationships and the ability to deliver an accessible service across the Wellington region.
