Design and Build Contractor RFP for Shade Canopy at Epsom Girls Grammar School

The proposal is to build a shade canopy over the existing tennis courts and surrounding area at Epsom Girls' Grammar School, which are covered with a synthetic surface and are fully fenced. A number of canopy layout and configuration options have already been considered. The school’s preference is a canopy which covers all courts and includes: • columns located on the perimeter and running parallel to Manukau Road (east–west orientation). • columns located on the perimeter of the courts, rather than an “M” shaped option which has columns located in the middle of the courts. • consistent canopy radius/arc across all courts, with the two southern courts matching the canopy arc over the three northern courts. • enclosed canopy ends. • allowance for school signage on the canopy. Tenderers are to provide two (2) concept designs that meet the projects outline specifications with separate "turn-key" prices for each as part of their tender submission. The project will be completed in two stages 1. Stage 1 – Detailed Design and Statutory Approvals 2. Stage 2 – Construction
