REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT Republic of Tajikistan Tajikistan Women's Economic Empowerment Project (TWEEP) Grant No.: TF-D1600 Title: Project Translator Reference No.: TWEEP-CS-IC-07 The State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan (SCISPM) has received financing from the World Bank toward the preparation and implementation of the Tajikistan Women’s Economic Empowerment Project (TWEEP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for individual consulting services. The assignment is to provide high-quality written translation, editing, proofreading, and oral interpretation services for TWEEP, ensuring that Project documents and communications are accurate, clear, consistent, and accessible in English, Russian, and Tajik. The Project Translator will translate Project documents, correspondence, reports, terms of reference, manuals, presentations, training materials, meeting records, and other materials between English, Russian, and Tajik; provide consecutive interpretation during meetings, workshops, consultations, training sessions, field visits, and World Bank implementation support missions; edit and proofread documents; maintain consistent Project terminology; support preparation and formatting of official correspondence and Project documentation; and maintain an organized electronic archive of translated documents and a Project glossary of key terms and abbreviations. The Project Translator will work full-time, based in Dushanbe, with travel to regional project sites (Districts of Republican Subordination and GBAO) as required. The duration of the contract will be for an initial 12 months, including a three (3) month probationary period, renewable based on performance and project needs. The total project duration is until April 2029.
