The Government of the Republic of Angola has received financing from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) towards the cost of the Huíla-Cunene Interconnection Project (HCIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Plant Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning for the Expansion of Cahama 400/220/60 kV Substation, Construction of the new Xangongo 220/60 kV Substation and Upgrade of the Existing Ondjiva 132/30 kV Substation to Ondjiva 220/132/60/30 kV . For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing 2.
