REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTANT SERVICES) Country: MOZAMBIQUE Project: Accelerating the Transformation of Access to Clean and Sustainable Energy (ASCENT) Grant No.: IDA-E4240 Assignment Title: Supervision of Works for the Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Networks in the Southern and Northern Regions of Mozambique Reference No.: MZ-EDM-554056-CS-QCBS 1. The Government of Mozambique (GoM) hereinafter referred to as “the Borrower” have received the Grant funds from International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Accelerating the Transformation of Access to Clean and Sustainable Energy (ASCENT) . Part of the funds have been channeled through the national Power Utility, Electricidade de Moçambique, E.P. (EDM) as the Project Implementation Agency (for aspects related to the construction of electrical networks and associated work) and EDM intends to allocate part of the funds to the procurement of consultancy and construction supervision services. 2. The consulting services (“the Services”) includes a time-based contract for Supervision of Works for the Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Networks in the Southern and Northern Regions of Mozambique , whose total estimated period of the contract is Thirty-Six (36) months . 3.
