AL-ARA-415789-CS-INDV Recruitment Type: Local Recruitment The Government of Albania has received a loan in the amount of 51.6 million EUR financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Building Resilient Bridges Project (BRBP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for individual consulting services under this Request for Expressions of Interest (REoI). The Albanian Road Authority (ARA), as the implementing agency of the Project, now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services described below. The consulting services include the provision of services as an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specialist as an integral member of the Project Implementation Team (PIT) established within the ARA for implementation of the BRBP. The OHS Specialist will provide specialized technical expertise and support to the PIT in the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of occupational health and safety requirements associated with the rehabilitation and reconstruction of bridges and associated infrastructure under the Project. The Consultant will be responsible for monitoring and assessing occupational health and safety risks and hazards at Project sites and ensuring that Project activities are implemented in compliance with applicable Albanian legislation and regulations, relevant World Bank requirements, Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines, good international industry practice, and applicable Project environmental and social instruments and contractual requirements. The assignment is expected to be carried out on a full-time basis, with the Consultant based at the ARA/PIT office in Tirana and undertaking frequent visits to Project construction sites
