The Government of Mozambique (GOM) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Climate Resilient Roads for the North (CRRN), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for Consultancy Services for Supervision of the Construction of Substructures and Installation of Metallic Bridges in Niassa province hereafter designated the “ Services ”. 2. The project development objective is to improve climate-resilient road connectivity in the Northern provinces of Mozambique. The construction and installation of the above-mentioned bridges will be implemented over a period of 10 months. The works are expected to be packaged in lots considering differences in their locations. 3. The consulting services include but not limited to the following: a) Review of detailed engineering designs, construction drawings and quantities prepared by the Design Consultant. b) Supervision of the contractors works for construction of the substructures and installation of 12 metallic bridges in Niassa Province. c) Inspection, monitor defects correction and complete contract closure during Defects Notification Period for construction of substructures and installation of metallic bridges. 4.
