Provision of General Medical Services at Tollgate Practice

NHS Essex Integrated Care Board is undertaking a Competitive Process under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 for the award of a General Medical Services (GMS) contract for Tollgate Practice, Stanway, Colchester. The Authority seeks a suitably qualified provider to deliver primary medical services to a registered patient population of approximately 10,206 patients. Services will be provided under a nationally prescribed GMS contract from the existing practice premises and will include the delivery of core primary medical services, management of the registered patient list, clinical governance, safeguarding, information governance and integration with local health and care services. This procurement is being undertaken to secure the long-term provision of stable, resilient and high-quality primary medical services for the local population. Due to the fixed practice location, established patient list and requirement for uninterrupted service delivery, bidders must demonstrate the ability to mobilise and maintain an appropriately qualified workforce and robust governance arrangements from contract commencement. The contract will be awarded following evaluation against the key criteria set out in the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The estimated contract value is £21,896,491.60, calculated using a notional 20-year term for valuation purposes only. The contract itself is a perpetual GMS contract and is not time limited. Specialist Support Service for People Bereaved by Suicide

Kent County Council

Kent County Council, on behalf of the Kent and Medway Suicide Prevention Programme and in partnership with the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board, is seeking market engagement to inform the future procurement of a Specialist Bereavement Support Service for people affected by suicide across Kent and Medway. The service will provide timely, accessible and trauma-informed emotional and practical support to individuals impacted by suicide, including family members, friends, colleagues, witnesses and professionals. The future provider will be expected to deliver a flexible countywide service through a combination of face-to-face, telephone and virtual support, working closely with health, community and voluntary sector partners. The contract is anticipated to commence on 1 April 2027 for an initial period of three years, with the option to extend for up to two further years. Kent County Council welcomes engagement from organisations interested in helping to shape the future service and deliver innovative, high-quality support for residents affected by suicide bereavement.

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire (OPCC) is considering future options for the provision of its Criminal Justice Related Drug and Alcohol Service for Adults. We would therefore like to invite suppliers to participate in the preliminary market engagement process. This exercise is purely for the purpose of information gathering in order to inform the procurement strategy going forward. It should be noted that any future purchase will be subject to a full competitive tendering procedure in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023. A full specification of technical, functional and non-functional requirements would be provided within the tender documentation. The Criminal Justice Related Drug and Alcohol Service for Adults service has been commissioned by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for a number of years. The current contract is due to end on 31 March 2027, and we are therefore considering future options. The service supports adults entering the criminal justice system who are experiencing drug and/or alcohol misuse issues. It provides advice, information, signposting, and referrals to appropriate treatment and support services. The service is delivered by a Supplier that works closely with police custody staff. Detainees who receive a positive drug test while in custody are referred to the Supplier for a mandatory assessment. The Supplier also works with probation services, assessing offenders who are being considered by the courts for a community treatment requirement and determining their suitability for such orders. The contract values provided in this notice are estimated and for indicative purposes only. The outreach model for this service will build on this foundation, targeting populations with historically lower engagement to improve uptake, earlier risk identification and equitable health outcomes across the county. This market engagement event will inform the development of a future NHS Health Checks outreach service for Hampshire that will work alongside the existing general practice-led programme. The ambition is to increase access to cardiovascular disease prevention and early identification of risk factors among residents who are least likely to be reached through traditional healthcare services. Focus will be given to underserved populations, including those with socioeconomic, ethnic and gender inequalities, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) communities, carers, those experiencing homelessness, and people employed in routine and manual occupations. The service will be expected to deliver health checks in trusted community settings and workplaces, helping to reduce barriers to access and address persistent health inequalities across Hampshire.

North Yorkshire Council has delivered a biennial Health, Wellbeing and Lifestyle Survey for children and young people since 2006. The survey and associated reporting have been developed to provide reliable data that supports the identification of priorities for education, health and wellbeing services, and informs planning, commissioning and resource allocation across North Yorkshire. Survey findings are shared with participating schools, Children and Young People's Service teams, elected members and partner organisations. The reports are used to support strategic planning, service evaluation and the targeting of resources to improve outcomes for children and young people. The Authority is now seeking information from providers capable of delivering a school-based survey across primary, secondary and special schools throughout North Yorkshire. The survey is undertaken every two years with pupils in Years 2, 6, 8, 10 and 12. Responses from recent surveys have typically ranged between 15,000 and 17,000 pupils.

2026 - Aberdeen City Council - Dual Sensory Support Service

Aberdeen City Council

Aberdeen City Council has a requirement for the provision of a fully accessible dual sensory service across Aberdeen City for adults aged 16 and over. The duration of this contract is from 1st October 2021 to 30th September 2024, with two potential one-year extensions. The Service shall offer support to individuals who have a range of issues relating to sight and hearing impairment and it shall also extend to the families and/or carers of Supported People. The Service shall also seek to raise public awareness around issues relating to sensory loss, train and educate professionals, as well as influence planning decisions to improve accessibility. It is envisaged that the Service will provide varying levels of support, ranging from intensive support, for example, social work assessments, to low level, for example, newsletters. Interventions may be required at short notice and on an ad hoc basis therefore the service to people with a sensory loss needs to be responsive to need. The Service Provider will also maintain a register of visually impaired people on behalf of the Council.
