The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire (OPCC) is considering future options for the provision of its Criminal Justice Related Drug and Alcohol Service for Adults. We would therefore like to invite suppliers to participate in the preliminary market engagement process. This exercise is purely for the purpose of information gathering in order to inform the procurement strategy going forward. It should be noted that any future purchase will be subject to a full competitive tendering procedure in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023. A full specification of technical, functional and non-functional requirements would be provided within the tender documentation. The Criminal Justice Related Drug and Alcohol Service for Adults service has been commissioned by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for a number of years. The current contract is due to end on 31 March 2027, and we are therefore considering future options. The service supports adults entering the criminal justice system who are experiencing drug and/or alcohol misuse issues. It provides advice, information, signposting, and referrals to appropriate treatment and support services. The service is delivered by a Supplier that works closely with police custody staff. Detainees who receive a positive drug test while in custody are referred to the Supplier for a mandatory assessment. The Supplier also works with probation services, assessing offenders who are being considered by the courts for a community treatment requirement and determining their suitability for such orders. The contract values provided in this notice are estimated and for indicative purposes only. Values cover original term only of 3 years and optional extension periods have not been included in the estimate.
