Allied Health Services - Request for Applications

ACC’s Allied Health Services contract for physiotherapy, hand therapy and podiatry services under one umbrella contract acknowledges the need for consistency across allied health professions on quality standards, clinical governance and outcome measures to enhance client rehabilitation outcomes. We are looking for high quality suppliers to deliver physiotherapy, hand therapy and podiatry services. It is important that our Allied Health Services contract suppliers deliver the highest quality of treatment to restore a client’s health to best possible outcome. Suppliers must be able to support the delivery of clinically appropriate and culturally responsive services to our clients through: • providing accurate diagnosis and assessment of functional limitations; • providing timely and appropriate, evidence-based intervention; • application and assessment of orthoses; • education for self-management; • achievement of goals as agreed in the client’s assessment and treatment plan including return to work, function and/or independence.
Residential Support Services

PLEASE NOTE – this Request for the Application is only for new applicants to apply to hold the Residential Support Services contract. Current Residential Support Services contract arrangements stand. Attached is the Request for Application (RFA) to apply for a Residential Support Services contract with ACC. Residential Support Services (RSSA) provides residential care for Clients who are unable to live independently in the community or are unable to live in their usual place of dwelling due to their covered physical injury including a Traumatic Brain Injury. The RSS Service is comprised of two key components: • Rehabilitation that maximises Client independence and prepares them for living in the community; and • Residential Care for when a Client is unable to live independently in the community. This may include: - Home for Life, - Respite Care, - Temporary Accommodation, (for example, until the Client’s housing modifications are complete or a suitable home is found), - Interim Care, (for example, for Clients who have been discharged from a District Health Board for a period of convalescence before returning to the District Health Board for ACC funded rehabilitation). The purpose of the Orthotist Services is to provide Clients with timely access to appropriate Orthoses to support their return to independence and/or work or education. We are looking for suitably qualified Suppliers to deliver Orthotist Services (ORTA) from the date of contract signing until the current contract expiry date of 30 April 2025 with one right of renewal of 2 years. It is important to ACC that Respondents deliver high quality services to Clients. This is achieved by providing staff with the right level of training, at the right time, to deliver a service that provides the most appropriate service to help the Client meet the highest level of independence they can. Respondents must ensure that all Providers of ORTA have the appropriate qualifications The ORTA contract currently expires 30 April 2026. Note: Definitions within the Service Schedule are still being reviewed with current Suppliers, once a definition is agreed upon a variation to the contract will be issued. Elective Surgery Services

The purpose of the Elective Surgery Service is to purchase timely, effective elective surgical procedures for eligible Clients who have a covered personal injury which requires surgical treatment to meet their rehabilitation outcomes. We are opening the Elective Surgery contract to enable applications to be made by eligible Elective Surgery Service Suppliers who can meet service needs. Our aim is to ensure that ACC continues to deliver an optimum level of services to Clients. NOTE - EXISTING CONTRACTED ELECTIVE SURGERY SUPPLIERS DO NOT NEED TO APPLY - EXISTING CONTRACTING ARRAGEMENTS APPLY.

Transport for Independence Assessment Services

PLEASE NOTE – this Request for Application is only for new applicants who wish to hold the Transport for Independence Assessment Service. Current Transport for Independence Assessment Service contract arrangements stand. The purpose of the services is to provide ACC with: • A comprehensive assessment to determine the impact of injury and subsequent functional limitations affecting the client’s ability to access transport, a description of the client’s injury related transport needs and goals, and the options to meet their identified needs. • Coordination of any vehicle modifications and driver training for the client as required. You will need to have access to assessors who have the qualifications, credentialling, training and experience to deliver the new Transport for Independence Assessment Services. The assessments provided will enable ACC to make a well-informed decision about a client’s future injury related transport needs. This will ensure our clients: • have their injury related transport needs identified • receive a modified vehicle that is essential to meet their needs, where required • receive essential driver training that enables them to safely drive their modified vehicle. ACC is looking for suppliers who who can demonstrate they meet ACC requirements to deliver these services as set out in the tender documentation.

PLEASE NOTE – ACC's Nursing Services is now an open contract, this tender notification is for those who do not hold a Nursing Services contract with ACC. PLEASE NOTE - Sole person run nursing service applications will not be processed. Please read service requirements thoroughly before applying. The purpose of this Request for Application (Proposal) is to seek applications from suppliers with the capability and experience to deliver nursing treatment predominantly in the home for Clients who cannot readily access clinic-based services, or whose injury needs cannot be managed by their General Practice Team (GPT). Please do not apply if your organisation does not have the following: 1. Demonstrated organisational experience in delivering a range of nursing treatments in clients’ homes and the community. 2. At least one Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner on staff who meets the Designated Provider criteria as detailed in clause 7.7 of the Nursing Services service schedule. 3. A team of mobile nurses who can provide services in clients’ homes, during and outside of normal business hours. Please check the documents enclosed in the 'Attachments' section. PLEASE NOTE - Vocational Medical Services (VMS) is now an open contract, this tender notification is for those who do not hold a VMS contract with ACC. The purpose of this Request for Application (Proposal) is to seek applications from new suppliers for Vocational Medical Services (VMS). The current VMS (Vocational Medical Services) contract is valid until 30 June 2027 and has two further rights of renewal of 2 years (i.e. 3+2+2 years). The VMS Contract is comprised of: • Three medical assessment services: Vocational Rehabilitation Review (VRR) service; Initial Medical Assessment (IMA) service; and the Vocational Independence Medical Assessment (VIMA) service. and • One advisory service: Vocational Medical Assistance (VMA) service. To be considered to deliver some or all services on this contract, you must be a Medical Practitioner registered with the New Zealand Medical Council and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate with vocational registration in one of the following scopes: • General Practice, and hold a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Medicine, or equivalent • Occupational Medicine • Rehabilitation Medicine • Other relevant vocational scope, you must hold a Fellowship of a recognised, relevant College and hold a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Medicine, or equivalent General Practitioners (FRNZCGP) who do not hold a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Medicine, or equivalent, may be considered on a case-by-case basis if they are: • Registered under the General Practice vocational scope with the NZ Medical Council. • Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate. • Can demonstrate extensive experience in workplace disability management and/or occupational rehabilitation. All Medical Practitioners applying to work on this contract must also have: • A minimum of five (5) years general practice experience and • Demonstrated relevant and current work experience in disability management in the workplace
