TKKM Rāwhiti Roa – Site: Drainage Works – Main Construction Contractor
Board of Trustees - Approve by BoT - ie. School Principal
The outcome sought from this procurement is the securing of the services of a suitably qualified and experienced main contractor to undertake the proposed Site: drainage works. The Kura’s original 5YA project scope included a drainage works design project. The system has had urgent remediation works undertaken already and the design of the new drainage system is complete. Due to the location of the proposed works and potential for disruption of the Kura’s operations, the contract works must be delivered during school holidays. The proposed scope includes the replacement of existing concrete paving to direct surface water towards new overland flow paths between Blocks 2, 3 & 5. The existing covered way path currently acts like a dam preventing surface water to flow through the natural flow path, so grated channels are proposed to allow water to escape when the surface flow exceeds the capacity of the existing catchpit. Additional ground contouring is proposed to deflect surface water from the area and instead direct to an existing adjacent catchpit and drainage network. Additionally, there are several areas of replacement drainage works required following a recent CCTV of the existing drains at the Kura. There is also some remedial wastewater drainage required, including the installation of new access chambers to resolve a sharp bend in the existing WW drainage infrastructure that has a tendency to block regularly.

Board of Trustees - Approve by BoT - ie. School Principal

RFT for Main Contractor for Drainage Works at Parua Bay School
Board of Trustees - Approve by BoT - ie. School Principal
The school is situated on the side of a hill and suffers from substantial water run-off through the carparks to the school and playcentre. CCTV investigations found the existing underground stormwater system and outlet from the school is too small and it regularly gets inundated. The gravel carpark to the playcentre has no existing drainage and it is continually being eroded by the water coming off the road reserve and school carpark above. The playcentre requires drainage and a concrete surface to prevent this from happening. The additional water capture will add more capacity to what an undersized stormwater network is already. Therefore, this must be upgraded at the same time as the playcentre carpark works.

English Medium Writing Workbook for Years 4 and 5
Te Poutahu Curriculum Centre
As part of the government’s budget announcement for 2026, funding has been set aside to provide Writing Workbooks for learners in Years 4 and 5 (approximately 130,000 students), for the next four financial years (assuming funding is retained). These Workbooks will help learners build strong foundations in fluent writing. Designed for flexible use across different subjects, they will support learners to revisit key concepts and practise independently as their confidence develops. They will help lift achievement by giving all learners consistent, easy-to-use support that helps build writing stamina and reinforce key skills. This RFP relates to the purchase of Writing Workbooks for learners in Years 4 and 5, with accompanying Teacher Support Materials (TSM), that are aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) via an open market RFP issued on the Government Electronic Tender System (GETS). We are aware that many of the current offerings in the market are not aligned to the NZC and this means that suitable Workbooks and TSM are not readily available “off the shelf” and will need to be created. Therefore, we will consider applications based on either a completed Workbook or a representative chapter and exercises – in this case persuasive writing. The Ministry is interested in physical Writing Workbooks, printed by either the respondent or by our print provider, that are support by TSM, either in electronic or physical format. If Workbooks are printed by the Successful Respondent, the Ministry is seeking resources that can be provided in quantities of 1,000, and delivered to our distributor, at an average cost of $30.00 or less per Workbook. As a result of this procurement, the Ministry will create a list of up to three (3) Writing Workbooks for each Year group (i.e. up to 6 Writing Workbooks) that schools can select from. No minimum commitment to purchase will be given by the Ministry. Ongoing purchases will be made during purchasing windows, with suppliers being asked

ODC Contract 288: Waiotahe Bluffs Detour Improvements Localised Widening Works 2026
Opotiki District Council
Waiotahe Valley Back Road, Verrall Road and Paerata Ridge Road together form the detour route used when the Waiotahe Bluffs section of State Highway 2 is unavailable. When the detour is in operation the route carries diverted state highway traffic, including heavy freight, on a rural road network formed for local access. Verrall Road normally carries approximately 80 vehicles per day and Waiotahe Valley Back Road approximately 93. WSP’s Waiotahe Bluffs Detour Improvement Scope (WSP ref 2-34005.C2) identified substandard carriageway width through curves and constrained sections of the route. The objective of this contract is to widen those sections to a carriageway width that safely accommodates diverted state highway traffic, including two heavy vehicles passing, and to improve sightlines through the curves and at the Verrall Road / Paerata Ridge Road intersection. The Ōpōtiki District Council has a quality driven approach to its construction projects. In keeping with this philosophy, Contractors are expected to achieve the highest standard of performance on all aspects of this project. In particular, the Contractor shall pay attention to actively managing Temporary Traffic Management on a route that may become a live state highway detour at short notice, and to notifying the public and keeping residents and landowners informed of intended works.

Stratford Primary School Main Contract Works – Relocation of Wharenui & Demolition Block F RFT
Ministry of Education - School Infrastructure
Block F at Stratford Primary School was identified with weathertightness issues in 2016 and originally scoped for remediation under the Taranaki Cluster but the work had to be paused due to insufficient funding being available. The remediation of Block F was revisited in 2023, with a preliminary design completed in May of that year. The extensive nature of the required remediation due to the modulock construction and the lack of cost advantages meant the scope was revised with classroom replacement being recommended instead. The new scope agreed in 2025 includes: o Demolition of 3TS and Wharenui (1TS) in Block F o Refurbish, relocate, and convert Classroom 20 (K2 reference Classroom 1) into new Wharenui (1TS) o General siteworks, infrastructure, and sandpit relocation
RIV_2600611 Rangitata/Rakitata River Flood Resilience – Groyne Rockwork Reinstatement
Field Services
Canterbury Regional Council (Environment Canterbury) (the Council) has a statutory function under the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 to manage land use within the region to prevent and mitigate damage caused by floods and erosion (see s126 of the Act). The Council is seeking responses to this Request for Proposal from suitably experienced contractors to undertake construction of new groyne structures on the true right bank of the Rangitata/Rakitata River, below the Arundel bridge. This contract involves the construction of four groynes. Details of works required are included in the Specifications in Part C and Construction Plans in Appendix 3. Note the number of groynes constructed may vary between two and four depending on tender prices as the project has a fixed budget for these improvements. Environment Canterbury will agree to the final scope of work with the selected contractor prior finalising contract documents. The work sites for the groynes are located on riverbed and in river berm. Access to the work sites will be via the Rangitata South Irrigation Limited (RSIL) pond access road, property owned by Rangitata Water Limited. All necessary agreements are in place with the landowner with regard to this work. Works will require the clearance of berm vegetation, removal of existing groynes, and clearance of any unsuitable material from the works area, prior to the construction of the four new groynes. It is possible that Rangitata River braids will be located near or within the proposed works site. The Contractor may therefore need to undertake diversion works to ensure that the groyne construction can proceed in the dry. The works will require the carting and placing of approximately 5500 tonne of rock from a RSIL stockpile adjacent to the site to form the new groynes. A further 9000 tonne of rock will need to be procured and imported to the site to form the further groynes. Rock from the existing groynes slated for removal may be suitable[JN1.1]
