Indigenous Business Only - FCC’s Indigenous Awareness Learning

Farm Credit Canada (FCC)

FCC is seeking responses from Indigenous owned and controlled businesses to better understand how an established Indigenous awareness curriculum can be translated into a meaningful, engaging and accessible learning experience for employees. FCC is interested in approaches that move beyond traditional page-based, basic click-to-reveal interactions and that use appropriate combinations of storytelling, reflection, scenarios, multimedia and learner interaction to support understanding and application of learning. FCC is particularly interested in learning design that influence both the learner experience and the design process itself. Learning experiences should avoid generic or pan-Indigenous representations and demonstrate respect for Indigenous perspectives, knowledge and creative contributions. To meet this need, FCC is exploring a collaborative partner model that can: work effectively with FCC’s internal Indigenous Relations and learning subject-matter experts; translate FCC’s established curriculum and intended learning outcomes into a cohesive learner journey; apply strong learning-experience, instructional, narrative and digital design capabilities; incorporate Indigenous leadership, perspectives, pedagogies and creative contributions in meaningful and respectful ways; design interactive, multimedia, reflective and scenario-based learning appropriate to sensitive and complex subject matter; build accessibility and usability into the experience from the outset; support an equivalent English and French experience; provide the technical production, testing and quality-assurance capabilities required for a reliable enterprise learning experience; and support implementation within, or interoperability with, FCC’s existing learning technology environment. FCC is using this RFI to increase its understanding of available solutions and suppliers and to further define the requirements it may seek through a future procurement process.
