Description Electrical Switching Station North, Watervliet Arsenal, New York Scope: This project will consist of constructing an electrical switching station to provide backup power in the event of a long-term power outage from the facility Main Substation. The scope entails the procurement and installation of four (4) 2MW generators, construction of a facility for the generators, installation of electric manholes, duct bank, grounding cable, fencing, switchgear, transfer switches, cables, splices and connections, paving, walks, curbs, gutters, and utilities testing and commissioning. The objective of this Performance Work Statement is to plan and complete the environmental sampling of facilities at the installation. The structures of concern are listed in Table I. The sampling will determine ACM and ORM materials and complete a Waste Stream Analysis for RCRA 8 metals, lead-based paint (LBP) and PCB’s-in-paint for those parts of the structure currently identified as potentially having any painted components. Following sampling, the Contractor shall be able to completely quantify the environmental contamination present and the methods required to remove and dispose of said contamination in a safe manner. All sampling shall be planned and performed in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations for the installation. All recommendations for follow-on actions shall also be in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations. Laboratory testing and analysis shall be completed within the workdays identified in table two following the respective site sampling field activity completion. The results of the site investigation and sampling effort will be provided in an individual Pre-Demolition Assessment Report for the installation that will be submitted within the workdays identified in table two following the receipt of sample results. The intent of this contract effort is to provide comprehensive sampling for all ACM/ORM materials to include the facility exterior, roof, basement/crawl spaces, etc. The Contractor shall make every reasonable effort to access these areas when present in each facility. The Report will specifically address any areas within given structures that were not accessible during the survey and state the size of the area not accessed, and current or immediate previous use of the area not sampled.

Crescenz VA Medical Center requires additional components for the Leksell stereotactic system specifically to enhance the capabilities for performing Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) procedures at our facility. Background Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) is a recognized treatment for various neurological conditions, including Parkinson s disease, essential tremor, and dystonia. The procedure involves implanting electrodes within certain areas of the brain to produce electrical impulses that regulate abnormal impulses or affect certain cells and chemicals within the brain. CMC VAMC uses the Leksell stereotactic system for precise navigation and targeting during these intricate procedures. While the existing system provides a solid foundation, certain components must always have back-ups to maintain the highest standards of care, improve outcome accuracy, and expand the procedural capabilities in line with modern advancements in DBS. The procurement and integration of these additional back-up components will have a profound impact on our service- delivery.
