Provision of Safeguarding Training for Group B and Group C

Carmarthenshire County Council wishes to commission a Provider to provide Training for Safeguarding Group B & Group C. The training sessions will need to be delivered in-person, during evenings and weekends to accommodate the Early Years and Childcare Settings. All safeguarding training must be delivered by trainers who meet the competency requirements set out in the ‘Wales Safeguarding Procedures’ and the ‘Social Care Wales’ framework for safeguarding learning.

North East Combined Authority

Building on learning from Year 1 of the Economic Inactivity Trailblazer and Connect to Work programmes, alongside wider disability and neuroinclusion insight, the North East Combined Authority is considering the commissioning of a single project to provide support for employers across the region. The proposed project would seek to deliver a cohesive pathway of support for employers, covering inclusive recruitment practices and progressing through to the effective embedding of inclusion and diversity within the existing North East workforce. A core principle of the proposed approach is the meaningful involvement of individuals with lived experience, to help ensure that any project design is informed by real world insight and supports practical, deliverable change. Subject to approval and further development, the project is expected to deliver direct benefits for North East CA SHINE members and to align with the Authority's wider strategic objectives, including the "home of real opportunity". Learning and outputs may also inform related initiatives such as Connect to Work, the North East Vanguard, and any future employer focused activity.

Future Employment Support

Department for Work & Pensions

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is intending to procure new employment support provision for out of work Universal Credit claimants. It will provide personalised and tailored support that is responsive to the needs of individuals and the local area. This will include skills, training and work experience; matching participants with employers through job trials, jobs fairs and job brokering; support with self-employment; intensive and repeated support with applications and interviewing; support in managing health conditions in the workplace; support with travel and childcare; and specialist support (e.g. ESOL, addiction). Support will be available across England and Wales and will be integrated within local labour markets. DWP is co-designing the provision with Mayoral Strategic Authorities to ensure it is tailored to the needs of local labour markets. This notice refers to the procurement of the service in England only. This notice seeks to invite interested suppliers to attend an upcoming virtual Market Engagement event on the 2nd June. Extension of existing Dynamic Purchasing System of Suffolk Adult and Community Learning Services
