N1L 138kV Line Rebuild

SaskPower is seeking new construction along N1L and N1L-E1L of approximately 65km of 138kV transmission line. This new line will consist of direct embed 138kV single circuit self-weathering H-frame structures with single Drake conductor. The new line will begin from the south bank of the North Saskatchewan River crossing (existing structure #15D) and end at the existing Landis switching station A-Frame. The project also includes restringing of about 3km of the E1L transmission line with Hawk conductor from E1L #246 to the Landis switching station with all remaining original structures in this portion being replaced. The salvage portion of the project is required to facilitate the rebuilding of the 138kV N1L and N1L-E1L transmission lines, and a section of the E1L transmission line, along the existing centerline. For detailed instructions related to the salvage, refer to Job Specification 10464-1. The rebuild portion of the project requires replacement of all existing N1L structures and string new conductor and shield wires. Also included is the separation of the N1L_E1L double-circuit portion outside of Landis station into two single-circuit transmission line segments, and some structure replacement and new stringing along a section of the E1L transmission line. For detailed instructions related to the rebuild, refer to Job Specification 10464-2. Work Site Location The new line will be constructed between North Battleford and Landis in the land locations NW-31-43-16-W3 to SW-25-37-18-W3. Anticipated Schedule Kick Off Meeting - Upon Award (Tentatively Scheduled for the week of October 19, 2026 Commence Pre-Construction Activities: Tentatively scheduled for the week of October 26th, 2026 * N1L Line Ready for Energization: No later than June 30, 2027 E1L Line Ready for Energization: No later than September 30, 2027 Successful achievement of Construction Completion in accordance with the requirements of the Contract: No later than October 15, 2027
