NSY Bridge Upgrades

Marine Atlantic Inc. Invitation to Tender 317-178-026 / 262479.17 NSY Bridge Upgrades Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the NSY Bridge Upgrades Project. The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Gulfspan Dock: Concrete repaired on the fixed span’s deck and fascia, also including a joint seal replacement at the abutment. Gemini Dock: Expansion joint repairs over the two (2) intermediate support frames, and asphalt repairs on the surface of the deck near the joints. Submittals: Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Construction Schedule. Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Site-Specific Safety Plan. Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Site-Specific Environmental Protection Plan. Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Site-Specific Environmental Protection Plan. Preparation, and submission of a Project Execution Methodology. Submission of shop drawings showing all elements of the repairs and replacement. Submittals must be approved by an engineer prior to procurement and installation. Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. A site visit will be held on October 15th, 2026, at 14:00 hours Atlantic Time at the site in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The closing for receipt of tenders will be 14:00 hours Atlantic Time, October 29th, 2026. Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS. This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication.
