Gambling Harm Training

City of York Council

A provider is sought to design and deliver training to increase awareness of gambling-related harms. The purpose of the training is to enable staff to identify, respond to and signpost individuals who may be experiencing gambling harms. The training needs to be suitable for a range of workforce groups; mainly from public sector and VCS organisations. The training needs to be suitable for staff groups who will not have previously received gambling harm awareness training but are likely to currently be working with people experiencing gambling harm. The training forms part of a wider public health approach to preventing and reducing gambling-related harms and improving access to support services within York. The provider needs to demonstrate a good understanding of the types of onward signposting available for staff groups working in York. The maximum value of this contract is £28,500 across 36 months. The initial contract period is valued at £9,500 for an initial period of 12 months, with the option of two contract extensions at the local authority's discretion - these extensions would each be of 12 months duration each, with and a value of £9,500 per year.
