The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Electricity Sector Transformation and Resilient Transmission Project , and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Design, Supply and Installation of Telecommunication systems . “ For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit. ” 2. The JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan now invites sealed Proposals from eligible Proposers for Design, Supply and Installation of Telecommunication systems for power system of Republic of Uzbekistan. Project spans the whole territory of the country; the implementation duration is 15 months. The project aims to build a telecommunication network on the IP/MPLS based technology with 100 Gb/s bandwidth for backbone and 10 Gb/s for access areas. 3.
