ME56/WB-DMDPII/P180298/2025/2026/C/01 FOR PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR SERVICE IMPROVEMENT PLANS FOR MUNICIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND PUBLIC FACILITIES IN DAR ES SALAAM UNDER DMDP 2 REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION) 1. This request for expressions of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for the Dar es Salaam Metropolitan Development Project - Phase 2 (DMDP 2) that appeared in the United Nations Development Business (UNDB) online Notice No. OP00277705 of March 6, 2024. 2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Dar es Salaam Metropolitan Development Project – Phase 2 (DMDP 2), implemented by the Prime Minister’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG) in collaboration with the Dar es Salaam Local Authorities. Part of the proceeds of this financing will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Provision of Consultancy Services for Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) for Municipal Infrastructure and Public Facilities in Dar es Salaam under DMDP 2. 3. The overall objective is to support PMO-RALG and the Dar es Salaam Local Authorities in the preparation, adoption, and implementation of Service Improvement Plans for key municipal infrastructure and public facilities in Dar es Salaam, with a view to improving coverage, quality, cost-effectiveness, operation and maintenance, asset management, and institutional performance in the targeted sectors under DMDP 2. 4.
