ME56/WB-DMDPII/P180298/2025/2026/C/03 FOR PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION OF AREA-BASED INVESTMENTS AND URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE IN KINONDONI AND UBUNGO MUNICIPALITIES UNDER DMDP 2 REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION) 1. This request for expressions of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for the Dar es Salaam Metropolitan Development Project - Phase 2 (DMDP 2) that appeared in the United Nations Development Business (UNDB) online Notice No. OP00277705 of March 6, 2024. 2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Dar es Salaam Metropolitan Development Project – Phase 2 (DMDP 2), implemented by the Prime Minister’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG) in collaboration with the Dar es Salaam Local Authorities. Part of the proceeds of this financing will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Provision of Consultancy Services for Design and Construction Supervision of Area-Based Investments and Urban Infrastructure in Kinondoni and Ubungo Municipalities under DMDP 2. 3. The overall objective of the consulting services is to provide professional design, construction supervision and contract administration services for area-based infrastructure sub-projects in in Kinondoni and Ubungo Municipalities under DMDP 2 on behalf of the Client. The assignment covers validation and prioritization of proposed investments, planning and design, preparation of bidding documents, and supervision of construction, handover, and defects liability period activities for selected markets, bus stands, public open spaces, and related urban infrastructure. 4.
