Memo No. 46.06.2000.000.335.31.0032.26-145 Date: 10.08.2026 REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR Individual Consultancy Services for Social Safeguards and Gender Specialist (National) for Chattogram Water Supply Improvement Project (CWSIP ) (Package Number-CWSIP/S11) The Government of the people's Republic of Bangladesh (GoB) has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of 'Chattogram Water Supply Improvement Project (CWSIP)', to be implemented by Chattogram Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (CWASA), an autonomous entity of the GoB and intends to apply a part of the proceeds of this credit to pay against the Consultancy Services for Social Safeguards and Gender Specialist (National). The objective of this assignment is to ensure that the Project's social safeguards obligations and gender-responsive commitments are effectively planned, implemented, monitored, and reported throughout the Project life cycle, in full compliance with national law, CWASA requirements, and the World Bank’s ESF. The assignment is expected to run for the duration of Project implementation. Expected Project Closing Date is 31-Dec-2030. The Duty Station will be at Chattogram. CWASA now invites eligible Individual National Consultants to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) for providing the services as mentioned in. Required qualifications and experiences are - Master's degree in Social Science, Sociology, Social Work, Gender Studies, Development Studies, Anthropology, or a closely related field. Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including demonstrated experience in both social safeguards/resettlement management and gender mainstreaming or GBV risk management in donor-funded infrastructure projects.
