The consulting services ("the Services") involve provision of high-level economic and financial advisory services to the PMU and the Ministry of Transport and Logistics. The core objective of the assignment is to strengthen the Government's capacity to assess, negotiate, and manage the economic performance of transport and logistics corridor concessions in a manner that maximises sovereign value capture, ensures macro-fiscal sustainability, and aligns with international standards of regulatory best practice. The Senior Economist will engage the National Institute of Statistics (INE) to prepare the future transport and logistic satellite account to capture regularly the contribution of the sector in the gross domestic product (GDP). There will be a probationary period of 3 months from the date of signing the contract. The contract will be renewed upon satisfactory performance.
