Toronto Metropolitan University is seeking information from qualified consultants and/or contractors with experience in greywater collection and reuse systems. The University currently has two existing greywater systems located in two campus buildings. These systems were installed as part of the original building construction; however, they have not operated properly since installation and have not delivered the intended water reuse performance. The University would like to engage an experienced firm to: review the existing systems assess current condition and operation identify deficiencies determine causes of previous failures recommend practical solutions to reactivate both systems provide budgetary cost estimates for repairs or upgrades evaluate potential water savings and sustainability benefits identify available utility rebates, grants, or incentive opportunities where applicable The intent of this RFI is to better understand available technical expertise and possible approaches before proceeding with a future procurement for detailed assessment and implementation.

S-339 Division Supervisor Course Development

Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre

The Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC) is extending an invitation to interested parties to provide proposals for the development of a national S-339 Division Supervisor in-person training course. This course will be developed based on the existing national S-339 Division Supervisor training standard. The Division Supervisor position is a critical role in the management of large-scale wildland fires and is in high demand for interagency deployment across Canada. Although a national S-339 Division Supervisor training standard has recently been developed, standardized course materials to support its delivery do not currently exist. The successful proponent will develop a standardized national training course based on the S-339 Division Supervisor training standard. This includes the development of instructor and participant materials, practical exercises, simulations, and supporting resources required for course delivery. One provincial wildland fire agency has delivered a Division Supervisor course for several years, and its existing course materials provide a strong foundation for this project. Where appropriate, these materials should be reviewed, adapted, and expanded to align with the national training standard and reflect a broad, interagency operational perspective applicable across Canadian jurisdictions. The completed course is expected to be designed for delivery over a period of three to four days. Note: CIFFC shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by any Participant in preparing, submitting, and presenting proposals. CURRENT STATE Ontario’s electricity market operates under a unique structure. While the IESO administers a centralized wholesale electricity market, a substantial portion of electricity generation is procured through long-term and medium-term contracts that are settled separately from market operations. These contracts include, but are not limited to, the following: Medium- and Long-Term (MT, E-LT, and LT) Contracts Clean Energy Supply Agreements Bruce Power Contract (ARBPRIA) OPG Energy Supply Agreements (ESAs) Large Renewable Procurement (LRP) Agreements Feed-In Tariff (FIT) Contracts Non-Utility Generator (NUG) Contracts A full list of contract types and contract documents can be found here: https://www.ieso.ca/en/Sector-Participants/Resource-Acquisition-and-Contracts/Contracts The IESO manages over 33,000 electricity supply contracts, representing nearly 30GW of capacity with annual settlements of about $7 billion. Of these, approximately 175 contracts involving complex financial settlements worth $5 - 6 billion annually are directly settled by its Contract Settlements team. These contracts are generally transmission-connected facilities and certain distribution-connected facilities that usually participate in the IESO Administered Markets, where the financial settlement calculations are particularly complex. To process these calculations, the Contract Settlements team currently employs end-user computing tools (EUCTs). As the contract portfolio grows, the tools have demonstrated a reduced ability to respond efficiently to new contract models and market changes. As new facilities contracted under IESO’s medium and long-term resource acquisition procurements progress from development and construction into commercial operation, the operational strain on the current system will continue to increase. The Independent Electricity System Operator ("IESO") is currently undertaking a program of work to support evolving workplace and operational requirements across the Greater Toronto Area ("GTA"). As part of this initiative, the IESO is in the process of commissioning satellite offices and temporary swing spaces to accommodate employees during workplace transitions and renovations to existing office spaces. Current anticipated locations for temporary furniture include Burlington, Markham and Oakville. Each location will be delivered as an individual project. To support these temporary workspace requirements, the IESO is seeking a qualified firm to supply, deliver, install, reconfigure, and remove temporary office furniture (the "Furniture Solution") for use at various IESO locations throughout the GTA. The Service Provider will be expected to provide furniture and related services on an as-needed basis to support both planned and unplanned workspace deployments. While the sequence of furniture installation is yet to be determined, it is not expected that all locations will require setup at the same time. The Agreement may be utilized for additional temporary workplace locations established by the IESO during the term of the contract, as required.

The PARMS system should be capable of depositing dense, hydrogen-free silicon nitride, aluminium oxide and silicon dioxide films with precise control over film stress and thickness, which are essential for achieving low-loss photonic devices. The system should be capable of producing high quality nitride and oxide films with excellent uniformity and repeatability through plasma assisted reactive magnetron sputtering, while maintaining practical deposition rates suitable for thick film growth. The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization, including all labor and equipment as specified and as required to carry out the work. Remove and dispose of existing precast concrete trench covers, complete with all associated debris to designated waste management site. Remove and dispose of the existing watermain and associated pipe support systems to the limits indicated on the Drawings. Repair the existing trench structure by removing all loose, cracked, delaminated, deteriorated and spalled concrete to sound substrate. Installing supplementary reinforcement and dowels where required and reconstructing the trench to their original profile. Upon removal of trenches, the Owner’s Representative and Contractor will complete an investigation of the trench to identify additional concrete damage to be repaired. Contractor will provide provisional pricing per linear metre for each type of concrete repair shown on the contract drawings. Supply and install new watermain piping, fittings, appurtenances and supports to the limits indicated on the Drawings. Supply and install tracer wire for the new watermain in accordance with the project specifications and utility requirements.
