REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (INDIVIDUAL CONSULTING SERVICES) Country : The Republic of Uzbekistan Implementation Agency: National Agency for Social Protection (NASP) under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Name of Project: “Innovative Social Protection System for Inclusion of Vulnerable Populations” (INSON) Financial Agreement No. 75550-UZ / Grant Agreement No. TF C4589-UZ Assignment Title: Research Assistant for Social Policy Lab / Research Accelerator Reference No. (as per Procurement Plan): UZ-INSON-CS-IC-3.2.6.1. The Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the “Innovative Social Protection System for Inclusion of Vulnerable Populations” (INSON) project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The consulting services (“the Services”) include supporting research and analytical activities under Subcomponent 3.2: Strengthening the M&E Capacity for Evidence-Based Policy Making. The assignment will contribute to strengthening NASP’s capacity to generate rigorous evidence for policy design and implementation through the Social Policy Lab and the Research Accelerator. The Consultant will support research design, data collection, data analysis, and preparation of analytical outputs, including literature reviews, datasets, research protocols, and policy-relevant analytical materials. The assignment will involve close collaboration with NASP departments, the Social Policy Lab, and international research partners, including J-PAL Europe. The estimated duration of the assignment is 18 months (full-time), based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with possible local travel within the country. The expected start date is May, 2026. The contract will be time-based.
