The Vietnam government has applied for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Southern Waterway Corridors and Logistics Development Project (SWCLD) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Improvement of Mang Thit river, Tra On river . 2. The Ministry of Construction through its Project Management Unit of Maritime and Waterway now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Improvement of Mang Thit river, Tra On river consisting of extensive dredging, construction of embankment and slope protection works including associated structures, local roads, sewers along the canal in Vinh Long province, Vietnam for a period of 24 months. 3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” 5th edition September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 4.
