Anahim Lake Apron Rehabilitation and Expansion

The Cariboo Regional District is seeking a qualified contractor to rehabilitate the existing Apron and Taxiway pavement, and expand the apron pavement surface at the Anahim Lake Airport. The main works are separated in two (2) main scopes: A. Pavement Rehabilitation: Partial depth asphalt pavement milling and asphalt overlay to restore original grades, and restoration of affected shoulder and edge areas. B. Partial Apron Expansion: Topsoil stripping, earthworks and grading, subgrade preparation, granular subbase and base placement and compaction, surface course asphalt placement, grading of shoulder areas, and restoration of all affected work areas. A Provisional scope is also provided to achieve a larger apron expansion area: C. Pre-Qualification - Shoal Lake 40 Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System

Shoal Lake #40 (SL40) is proceeding with construction of a wastewater treatment system. Shoal Lake 40 First Nation is located approximately 160 km east of the City of Winnipeg, near the Manitoba-Ontario border. The community is accessible year-round via Freedom Road. The general scope of work consists of: Construction of a new wastewater treatment building (WWTB) with rock-socketed pipe pile foundation. The building will be a pre-engineered steel building with a building footprint of approximately 16 m x 24 m. Construction of two in situ clay lined submerged attached growth reactor (SAGR) cells south of the proposed WWTB, including supply and installation of pre-cast concrete inlet chamber, and two liquid level control chambers Supply and installation of mechanical and electrical systems inside the WWTB including: Mechanical systems include pumps, piping between treatment components, aeration piping, heating and ventilation systems, chemical feed systems, and bulk alum tank. Electrical systems include motor control centre (MCC) and associated wiring to equipment, exterior genset, and lighting. Process equipment including grinder, microscreens, lamella clarifiers, aeration blowers, and UV disinfection equipment. Construction of a gravel access road to site and within the site, including a 25 m x 30 m gravel truck turnaround, and upgrades to an existing gravel road. Site works including perimeter ditching, perimeter fence supply and installation, topsoil and seeding and signage. Supply and installation of a pre-cast concrete pumping chamber to pump SAGR effluent to the WWTB and pre-cast dumping station and equalization tank. Underground piping works including a watermain extension to the building and various piping throughout the site.
