Lift Off - Q3 - Quieter Neighbourhood Support

Heathrow Airport Ltd

Heathrow Lift Off is a new concept developed in 2022 as an additional way to attract and work with SMEs. We envisage that Lift Off will provide the chance for selected innovative SMEs to meet with and present their products and services to a panel made up of Heathrow and our largest supply chain partner organisations. The participating SMEs will have opportunity to connect with Heathrow and key players in our supply chain. In addition, SMEs will also potentially be able to take part in relevant tenders and win business opportunities following up the event. SMEs chosen for each Lift Off event will be allocated with 25 mins for presentation and Q&A. At Heathrow, we are committed to materially reducing the impact of aircraft noise on our neighbouring communities- recognising that this is not only an operational responsibility, but a critical component of maintaining trust, supporting quality of life, and enabling the long-term sustainability of the airport. The Quieter Neighbourhood Support (QNS) programme is a central pillar of this commitment, delivering targeted, property-level interventions that directly improve the lived experience of residents most affected by noise. Please see the attached documents where you can find more details on this opportunity. The Q3, 2026 Lift Off event is scheduled to be held on 18th September 2026. Additional information: Heathrow reserves the right to decide which SMEs will attend each Lift Off event and completing and submitting this opportunity in CompeteFor does not gurantee selection. By submitting your interest, you are agreeing for Heathrow to share your details with our supply chain.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT) Name of Project: Eastern Africa Regional Statistics Program-for-Results (EARSPforR) Grant No : P176371 Assignment Title: Individual Consultant (IC) to perform the Consultancy services to Develop of Guidelines for Use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to Estimate Agricultural Production, Urbanisation and Environmental Degradation in Africa. Reference No . TN-STATAFRIC-AUC-546829-CS-INDV. Background Geographic Information Systems (GIS) provide a powerful spatial framework for analyzing, modelling, and predicting changes in agriculture, urban expansion, and environmental degradation. In the recent past, there has been an increase in demand for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial statistics to support evidence-based policymaking and sustainable development planning in Africa. This growing demand offers an opportunity to improve the quality of data generated from these sources, to enhance the production of official statistics and monitoring development indicators across the continent. Agricultural transformation, rapid urbanisation and environmental degradation are three interlinked phenomena which are rapidly evolving and has structural challenges which require high-quality and spatially disaggregated data. These phenomena have profound implications on food security, economic development, climate resilience, and sustainable land management. Geographic Information Systems (GIS), in integration with Remote Sensing (RS), Earth Observation (EO) data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), offer transformative potential to address these data gaps challenges. To reap the full benefits and to increase adoption and use of these technologies, there’s need of harmonized reference documents which should adhere to international standards and recommendations. Reference No . TN-STATAFRIC-AUC-386236-CS-INDV. Background Tourism is an important sector in Africa contributing highly to economic growth, employment and foreign exchange earnings. Despite this importance, measuring the economic magnitude of tourism remains a challenge in most African countries due to fragmented data systems, weak coordination among institutions, inadequate tourism statistics, and the absence of comprehensive Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSAs). Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA) provide an internationally recognized statistical framework for measuring the direct contribution of tourism to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employment, investment, government revenue, and other macroeconomic aggregates within the framework of the System of National Accounts (SNA). Despite its proven importance, TSA adoption and implementation across African countries remains fragmented and inconsistent. Some countries have established TSA systems while others have limited tourism statistical infrastructure. Therefore, there is need for a harmonized continental guideline to support African countries in developing, institutionalizing, and strengthening TSA systems aligned with international standards while reflecting African realities and priorities. In this context, the African Union seeks to recruit an individual consultant to develop comprehensive and practical guidelines for the development of Tourism Satellite Accounts in Africa. However, access to harmonized, centralized, and consistently documented statistical datasets remains largely limited due to: Fragmented and siloed national and regional databases with incompatible structures. Inconsistent application of data standards, indicator definitions, and classification frameworks. Absence of automated or structured mechanisms for data submission to continental repositories. Limited data documentation and metadata, reducing discoverability and usability. Restricted public access to existing datasets, hindering research and policy uptake. Individual Consultant (IC) perform the consultancy services to develop Guidelines for phone observatory surveys.

African Union Commission

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT) Name of Project: Eastern Africa Regional Statistics Program-for-Results (EARSPforR) Grant No : P176371 Assignment Title: Individual Consultant (IC) to perform the Consultancy services to develop Guidelines for Phone Observatory Surveys in Africa. Reference No . TN-STATAFRIC-AUC-546834-CS-INDV. Background Demand for timely, high-frequency, and cost-effective data has led African countries to explore innovative ways of data collection and statistical production. Traditional face-to-face surveys, while essential, are often resource-intensive, time-consuming, and difficult to implement during emergencies, conflicts, pandemics, natural disasters, and other situations that restrict field operations. Recent advancements in mobile phone penetration, telecommunications infrastructure, digital technologies, and data science have created opportunities for conducting Phone Observatory Surveys (POS) as a complementary data collection mechanism. Phone surveys have proven effective in generating rapid information on socio-economic conditions, employment, food security, health, education, migration, business performance, agricultural activities, prices, and citizen perceptions. Despite the growing uptake of phone surveys across Africa, there remains a significant gap in continent-specific, harmonised guidelines that address the unique challenges of the continent. The absence of such guidelines results in fragmented approaches, inconsistent methodologies, and data that are difficult to compare. Therefore, there is need to develop continental guidelines that provide methodological, operational, institutional, and ethical standards for the design, implementation, analysis, and dissemination of Phone Observatory Surveys in Africa. The guidelines will support National Statistical Offices (NSOs), Central Banks, Ministries, Research Institutions, Regional Economic Communities, and Development Partners in pro

An Individual consultant to develop an integrated and digitalized information system with links at national, regional, and continental levels.

African Union Commission

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT) Name of Project: Eastern Africa Regional Statistics Program-for-Results (EARSPforR) Grant No : P176371 Assignment Title: Individual Consultant (IC) to perform the Consultancy services to Develop an Integrated and Digitalized Statistical Information System for STATAFRIC. Reference No .TN-STATAFRIC-AUC-481115-CS-INDV. Background The African Union (AU) is committed to strengthening African statistical systems across the continent to support evidence-based policy-making, regional integration, and sustainable development. African statistical systems encompass national statistical offices (NSOs), regional economic communities (RECs), and continental institutions. However, data management systems across these entities are frequently fragmented, heterogeneous, and insufficiently interoperable. These structural challenges constrain the efficient exchange, consolidation, and dissemination of reliable and timely statistics at the continental level Key challenges include: Lack of standardized data formats and metadata schemas across NSOs and RECs. Weak or absent automated data exchange mechanisms between national and continental systems. Limited data governance frameworks governing quality assurance and access management. Inadequate tools for real-time data visualization and dissemination to end-users. Insufficient technical capacity within STATAFRIC to manage and maintain digital platforms. To address these gaps, STATAFRIC intends to develop an integrated and digitalized statistical information system connecting national statistical systems, regional data platforms, and continental-level repositories. The system will support improved data collection, integration, analysis, and dissemination while ensuring interoperability and compliance with international statistical standards. STATAFRIC therefore seeks to recruit a qualified individual consultant to design, develop and implementation of this int
